Pashupatinath & Muktinath Divine Pilgrimage

The tour begins at Kathmandu’s revered Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dedicated to Lord Shiva, where the eternal flame has burned for centuries. Pilgrims witness the mesmerizing evening Aarati ceremony along the sacred Bagmati River.

The journey then ascends to Muktinath Temple in the Mustang highlands, perched at 3,800 meters and sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists as a place of liberation. Pilgrims bathe under 108 sacred water springs and witness the mystical Jwala Mai flame burning on water, where earth, fire, water, air, and sky converge.

Depart with the divine blessings of Lord Muktinath, Lord Pashupatinath, and Divine Mother Guhyeshwari, carrying home cherished spiritual memories.

Sankara Yatra’s Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimages are conducted under the spiritual leadership of Swamy Kannan Bhattacharya — a revered Vedic scholar, spiritual guide, and author whose presence has become a cherished part of devotional life in Tamil households across India. Through his Omkaram segment on Zee Tamil’s Olimayamana Edhirkalam, Swamiji has arrived in those homes every single morning — quietly, consistently, and with the kind of spiritual depth that devotees do not merely listen to, but carry with them through the day. Before every Kailash Mansarovar journey, Swamiji personally leads the Yatra Thanam, Rudra Homam, and Raksha Bandhanam at the sacred Pashupati Nath Temple in Kathmandu — ancient rituals that wrap every pilgrim in divine protection and the grace of Lord Shiva before the first step of the sacred parikrama is taken. At Kailash itself, the Ganapathy Homam and Rudra Homam are performed under his guidance — because at Sankara Yatra, your journey does not merely pass through sacred ground. It is received by it.
